All plans on this website are protected by the Federal Copyright Law. The copyright owner retains the title and ownership of the original documents. The plans licensed to you cannot be used or resold to any other person.
The reproduction of these house plans, in whole or in part, including any form of copying and/or preparation of derivative works, is strictly prohibited for any reason without written permission. The purchase of a set of house plans does not transfer copyright or any other ownership interest to the buyer, except for a limited license to use that set of house plans for the construction of one home. Purchasing additional sets of that house plan at a reduced price from the original set or as part of a multiple set package does not grant the buyer a license to build more than one home. Similarly, the purchase of reproducible materials carries the same copyright protection. To use any plan more than once and to avoid any copyright/license infringement, it is necessary to contact the plan designer to obtain a version and license for any extended use. While a buyer of PDF, CAD, and reproducible files receives a license to make copies, it should be noted that, as copyrighted material, making photocopies of plans is illegal.
Copyrights and licenses for house construction plans exist to protect all parties. Respect and uphold the intellectual property of the original architect or designer. Copyright law has been strengthened in recent years. Intentional infringement could result in legal damage awards of up to $150,000 plus attorney fees, damages, and lost profits.
